The role:

We are recruiting for a Risk and Internal Audit Specialist to join the Legal. Risk and Governance department on a permanent full-time basis. The role is based in Belmont, Western Australia.

This role will provide proactive high level support in the areas of risk management and Internal Audit in compliance with our Values, the law,  Risk and Internal Audit frameworks and standards and corporate policies.

What you’ll do:

• Support the Head of Legal, Risk and Governance and our Internal Auditor on all areas of risk management and Internal Audit within a complex operating environment and providing input and advice on associated areas including Business Continuity, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Project Management
• Undertake Internal Audit assignments as per approved Internal audit plans in accordance with Internal Audit standards, methodology, quality requirements and key success criteria
• Follow up on the implementation of the agreed audit improvement actions
• Implement, maintain and continuously improve control processes through CSA etc
• Risk Workshop facilitation via innovative and engaging mechanisms
• Administration of our risk management and Internal Audit database, including reports for risk committee
• Championing risk management, governance and compliance with all staff
• Work with external service providers as part of our outsourced Internal Audit program
• Develop corporate policies and procedures relevant to the Legal, Risk & Governance department
• Work with our training area to design relevant training programs / materials
• Develop and update risk management and Internal Audit documentation as required 

 Skills and Experience required:

• High level of knowledge and experience around supporting a contemporary risk management and Internal Audit function, including knowledge of relevant standards
• Relevant University degree and / or professional qualifications
• Ability to influence and confidently present to executives and Board
• Demonstrated experience in risk workshop facilitation and administration of a risk management system
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence others (internal and external) and to work collaboratively and respectfully with all parts of the business and at all levels
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously, with minimal supervision
• Project management skills (desirable)
• 5+ years experience in risk management and Internal Audit
• Big 4 / Mid Tier experience desirable but not essential
• Significant and demonstrated experience in a broad range of risk management activities including risk workshop facilitation, risk reporting, business continuity, compliance activities and risk management system administration. Experience in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) desirable.
• Significant and demonstrated experience in undertaking strategic and operational Internal Audits as per the approved Internal audit plans in accordance with Internal Audit standards, methodology and quality requirements, Internal Audit reporting, stakeholder management and Internal Audit administration.
