An opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced RN to work on a casual basis in our Endoscopy team.
Essential Criteria
- Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
- Preferably a minimum of 6 - 8 years post-registration experience, with a minimum of 3 - 4 years’ experience in Endoscopy or a Day Surgery Unit
- Be accustomed with the different procedures in Endoscopy.
- A comprehensive understanding of the function, use, care, maintenance and trouble shooting of the different types and models of Flexible Endoscopes, and Automated Flexible Endoscopic Reprocessors.
- The ability to work both independently and within a team structure.
- The completion of (or working towards) HICMR or GENCA Fundamental of Reprocessing Workshop including the Practical Skills Assessment.
- Demonstrated understanding of current relevant guidelines, regulations and standards.
- Candidates with a postgraduate qualification (or currently working towards one) in Perioperative Nursing or Gastroenterology Nursing will be highly regarded.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; the ability to engage positively with all stakeholders
- Commitment to quality, best practice and environmental safety
- Knowledge of legal and ethical requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of professional standards
- Hold a passport or visa that allows you to live and work in Australia.
