Road Occupancy Construction Officer - Roads Permanent Full Time Salary up to $95,642.06 plus superannuation (Salary package will be assessed based on skills, experience and qualifications)A lease for private use of a motor vehicle.

Overview

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Road Occupancy Construction Officer to join our positive and energetic team. The Road Occupancy team is responsible for assessing applications under the Roads Act 1993 and ensuring compliance with relevant construction standards for development related works within the road reserve. You will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes with a high level of customer service.

This is a great opportunity to build your skills in the practical application of the following:

  • Traffic control and road reserve management compliance under delegation as the Roads Authority,
  • Engineering design principles and current best practice construction methods,
  • Stakeholder management and negotiation,
  • Assessment of Section 138 applications and management of road occupations under the Roads Act 1993.

About the role:

The role includes construction inspections of new civil assets to ensure compliance with Council's policies and standards. You will also have effective communication and interpersonal skills and require a good knowledge of development construction including concrete works, road and urban stormwater construction principles. You will use your sound technical ability to succeed in this interesting and challenging position.
