Key Responsibilities: (KPIs)
The purpose of the Setter / Operator is to set production parts to the Robot Welder and ensure operations are completed to quality standards with minimal direction and supervision from the Supervisor or Team Leader.
- Perform work as per the job sheets
- Ensure work is completed to the required quality standard
- Ensure work is conducted in a safe manner
- Work as part of a team
- Sets up welding robots to weld ends to fuel tank and sockets as per drawing.
- Modifying welding programs and welding settings according to material thickness and type of material (steel, stainless steel and aluminium)
- Programming welding robot for new parts for ends and sockets using touch sensing to sense positions of sockets.
- Doing first off inspections (FOI) and quality check as per drawing and customer requirement.
- Performing operational maintenance on robots, daily maintenance tasks as required (i.e. filling hydraulics oil in pump which is required for hoist, changing pneumatics parts on robots and rings if required, checking of all the mechanical parts and ensuring equipment is in good condition.)
- Setting in the correct order all the robot welding jigs which are required for welding
- Follow the guidelines and procedures in accordance with the Environmental Management System
- Certificate II (2) in either production or engineering
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality systems
- Experience operating tools and machinery
- Good problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to read and act on job sheets
- 5+ years in a manufacturing business
