The Electrolux Adelaide Manufacturing Cooking Plant is a thriving and innovative example of modern advanced manufacturing in Australia. Encompassing fully automated sheet metal press lines, robot powder coating processes and automated gluing cells all leading to centralised assembly and packing. Consisting of a workforce of more than 400 employees, across three shifts and 50 robots all contributing to making approximately 1,500 ovens per day!

Your Role
As the Robotics Engineer you will be responsible for providing specialist support in maintenance, installation and commissioning of the many robots supporting our production process. Working with our collaborative and passionate manufacturing maintenance and engineering team, you will identify opportunities for factory improvements, downtime reduction, process improvements and data management through our manufacturing processes, robotics, and digital scheduling systems. Using state-of-the-art technology, this role will provide you with an opportunity to work with industrial-scale robots and to grow and develop advanced manufacturing capabilities.
A Typical Day
Providing Technical Support, including robot simulations for engineering projects
- Install and commission new robots
- Introduction of new programs to robots
- Modifying robot programmes
- Reviewing mechanical processes and identifying opportunities for automation
- Configuring, testing, and troubleshooting robotics programming systems
- Assist maintenance in breakdowns when required for robot processes
- Maintaining and recommending spare part requirements for onsite projects
- Train robotic programming and standards to other production and maintenance employees
You work as part of a team to safely and efficiently meet your agreed objectives which contribute to the shared vision for Electrolux Home Products. To be successful you will be able to work effectively within a small team environment, under minimal supervision and display the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:
- Master/Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechatronic) Mechanical or similar
- Minimum 5 years working within Manufacturing or sector with complex robotics
- High level of robot programming, specifically ABB
- Able to handle intricate processes
- Understanding and compliance of WHS, environmental, quality regulations
- The ability to be pro-active and work with flexibility and efficiently
- Be adaptable to different situations
- Advanced Fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Strong technical and analytic skills
- Capable of managing changes and multiple challenges at the same time
- A can-do attitude and able to contribute to a positive team environment
- Communicate competently with others
