We are excited to announce that the Rockhampton Rollingstock Workshop is reopening and Queensland Rail is seeking a motivated Mechanical Maintainer to assist with the upcoming projects and maintenance tasks.What Queensland Rail has to offer:

- Contribute to the safety of the workplace, tasks and team members.
- Communicate and build effective relationships with management, staff, unions, suppliers, contractors (or sub-contractors), customers and other stakeholders.
- Ensure on time completion of planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Contribute to the achievement of maintenance plans to meet priorities and targets and assist Maintenance Manager as and when required.
- Utilise computer-based maintenance systems to accurately and timely input and review data, such as recording the work performed including repair and preventative maintenance and all materials used.
- High level of skill in preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair of locomotives and/or passenger rollingstock, associated systems and their components.
- Substantial skills in working autonomously and within a team environment.
- Sound Mainframe and Personal Computer application skills particularly in Maintenance Management applications.
- Pre-employment requirement- Mechanical Trade Certificate
