We are currently seeking Room Attendants and Housekeeping Team Leaders to join our team at an Established Hotel situated on the Southside of Brisbane. This hotel and function centre has 138 accommodation rooms, conferencing facilities & a well-appointed restaurant and games room.
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, these positions will be responsible for maintaining and delivering the high cleanliness levels and maintaining our housekeeping benchmarks and overall housekeeping operations in accordance with brand standards.
Duties for both roles include, but are not limited:
- Cleaning guest rooms, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, tiles, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Cleaning public areas when required.
- Ensuring all service areas are fully stocked with guest amenities
- Ensuring towels and linen are refilled, replaced and stored correctly
- Performing any basic maintenance, or report and coordinate major maintenance requirements
- Reporting any lost property following correct hotel procedures
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly
- Using appropriate chemicals for cleaning purposes ensuring safe work practices are maintained
- Assisting guests with any requests or inquiries they may have.
The Housekeeping Team Leader role is a hands-on hybrid role that also includes the supervision of the housekeeping team in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
Key Team Leader responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assistant in coordinating the daily operations of our housekeeping team.
- Scheduling the daily cleans of guest rooms and public areas.
- Ensuring that your team is cleaning and maintaining the guest rooms and hotel public areas to the Hotels highest standards.
- Assisting with rostering
- Responsible for assisting the Housekeeping Manager with induction of new staff, overall ongoing training, rostering, and performance.
- Maintain guest amenities, cleaning supplies, and linen.
- General Room Attendant duties
- Provide feedback on room conditions to the Housekeeping Manager, particularly in terms of areas that require deep clean, repairs or replacement to maintain apartment standards.
- Working closely with all departments to ensure that the hotel is presented well.

- Previous experience in hotel/apartment style housekeeping.
- A professional and can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong customer service
- Self-motivation with the ability to meet deadlines within given time and work well under pressure.
- A good knowledge of hygiene requirements and safe working procedures.
- Problem Solving skills.
- The ability to work a flexible roster including weekends.
- Previous experience Team Leading in Housekeeping environment is highly regarded.
- RMS experience preferred.
