ROPE ACCESS PAINTER

We are a painting contractor, providing a complete painting maintenance service and solutions to a broad range of industries.

Due to growth and commencing new projects we are looking for qualified Rope Access Painters, to join our Sydney operations on a full-time basis.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Making on site preparations such as; erecting scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, Rope Access abseiling.

·         Preparation for painting on external facades, Residential, Strata and Commercial projects across Sydney.

·         Painting surfaces according to drawings and instructions.

·         Examining surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.

·         Preparing walls and other surfaces by removing old paint, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces.

·         Selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives.

·         Applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays

·         Cleaning equipment and work areas.

·         Calculate material costs.

·         Deliver high-quality painting work.

·         Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.

 Licence/Certification:

• Irata/Sprat Certification (Preferred)
• White Card (Preferred)
• Work Safely at Heights (Preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications: Certificate in Painting. 

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience

SKILLS.

·         You must be energetic, enthusiastic, motivated, willing to learn, take pride in your work and not be afraid of heights. 

• Physically fit and active.
• Have good organisational and problem-solving skills
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Tidy and have good menace.
• Working at Heights and Rope Access experience. 

·         Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them.

·         Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.

·         Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, spray guns, rollers, caulking guns etc.).

·         Conscientious with great attention to detail

Wages

$80000-$90000

• Flexible hours available
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role
• Work visa can be provided for this role
• Expected start date for role: 20 July 2024
• Expected salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
