About the opportunity
We invite you to become a part of our Roster Coordination team based at the John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle. You will be provided with comprehensive initial and ongoing training across all aspects of the role, providing Rostering Support Services across NSW Health Pathology.

- Responsible for participating in a diverse range of rostering functions for the delivery of rostering and payroll across NSW Health Pathology (NSWHP).
- Provide a high level of customer support in maintaining accurate rostering practices across a statewide organisation.
- Ability to establish strong working relationships with staff at all levels of the organisation and external agencies and stakeholders.
- Well developed communication skills with a focused and responsive approach to managing rostering system user support and payroll enquiries with sound conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and perform a wide-range of administrative tasks in a high pressure, high volume work environment whilst taking into account the impact on others to achieve results and meet strict deadlines.
- Previous experience with regards to the interpretation and implementation of Rostering / Payroll related policies, awards and legislations, procedures and standards of practice in a multi-professional environment.
- Demonstrated experience in large volumes of data extraction and auditing in rostering systems, with a high level of accuracy in data management.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and resolve issues independently as well as working as an effective team member whilst adapting to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and influencing skills and a strong client service approach to develop and maintain effective working relationships.

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
