An exciting opportunity has become available in our Staff Deployment department for a well organised Rostering/Scheduling Officer to join the team. This is an opportunity to play an active role in assisting the rostering of our iconic operational team. Reporting to the Resourcing and Scheduling Team Leader, your role will be to assist with the leave planning and development of rosters for Operational Staff (Paramedics/Transport/State Operations Centre).

The role is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm at our Belmont State Office.  

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, build, and maintain rosters for Paramedics, Transport and Communication Officers
  • Assist in leave management of our operational staff
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, Enterprise Agreements and Fair work act
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes by recommending appropriate rostering and scheduling adaptations
  • Ensure all relevant information and database systems are up to date by collecting, analysing, and summarising data and trends
  • Ensure strong rapport is continually maintained with Paramedics, Ambulance Officers, Patient Transport, Communication Officers and other internal stakeholders
  • Provide information and advice to staff in relation to rostering requirements
  • Deliver presentations and workshops to new operational employees

What you’ll need:

  • Previous experience within an administrative or customer centric environment is highly regarded
  • Exceptional phone manner and experience dealing with phone enquiries
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload
  • Proficient in multitasking  
  • Adapt to and utilise corporate information systems and MS Office applications to an intermediate level
