Located in Ravensthorpe, 510kms from Perth with the nearest large hospital 300 kms away, the practice services over 3000 residents in one town, and 2000 in another, with only 1.5 FTE.
The organisation currently operates five practices covering 52,000 square kilometres, and provides 24 hour Emergency Department cover in addition to general practice. The local hospital operates 7 days 24/7, with the local doctors providing cover plus Emergency Telehealth Service (ETS for fatigue management and clinical support).
Ravensthorpe is a beautiful, relaxed, coastal location on the doorstep of a UNESCO listed world famous national park. This opportunity provides exposure to a very diverse range of medicine and acute scenarios with a highly regarded and experienced mentor by your side, giving you the opportunity to practice cradle to grave medicine in a truly rural location (MM7).
The Practice
Private mixed billing practice. The building is owned by the Shire and the medical business is operated by a privately owned rural generalist undertaking family medicine, skin cancer, telehealth, occupational health assessments, mine support, mental health, chronic disease management and much, much more.
The Requirements
Supervision is available to the right candidate for both ACRRM and RACGP, given by an award winning supervisor (ACRRM Distinguished Service Award Winner) at an award winning practice (Shire of Ravensthorpe Business of the year).
Emergency medicine experience preferred – but training can also be provided.
The Package
60% billings.
$500 per month travel allowance offered.
