We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Safeguarding Advisor to join our PCYC Risk & Safety Team to build risk ad safety capability across PCYC. If you have experience implementing safeguarding policies, then we want to hear from you!

Your New Role

The Safeguarding Advisor will drive the implementation of consistent safeguarding practices across PCYC Clubs and Services to improve outcomes for children and young people.  This includes developing and implementing best practice documentation and training to foster and promote a strong safeguarding culture across the business.  Additionally, the role will be involved in assessing and managing child safeguarding incidents/disclosures, coordinating statutory reporting processes, and providing specialised support and guidance to stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people. About You

  • A tertiary qualification is highly desirable, or significant experience in the industry in lieu of a qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of well-developed experience working with children and young people 
  • Experience working in a safeguarding children and young people role is highly desirable
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of best practice models around safeguarding children and young people 
  • Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant legislation impacting safeguarding practices and principles
  • Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel across the State, as required
