Salaried GP

Background –

This is an opportunity to really make an impact on the local population, working with a clinically stimulating demographic within a close-knit team of loyal GPs.

A GP Training Practice, the team are committed to education and development and would a newly  qualifying GP just as much as one well-established in their career.

The practice offers both 15 and 20-minute appointments depending on the complexity of the patient’s needs which ensures you are able to run to time and enjoy a very manageable workload relative to the demographic.

You’ll receive protected admin time and will see just 25 patients per day with home visits kept to an absolute minimum thanks for their Elderly Care Matron doing the vast majority.

Salary – £11,000 - £12,000 per session plus indemnity

Location – Redruth area

The surgery –

• GP Training Practice
• Circa 7,000 patients
• Geared towards reducing GP workload
  • Clinical support team of Prescribing Nurse Practitioner, Physiotherapist, Pharmacy Tech and Social Prescriber
  • Pharmacy team completing majority of the medicines work
  • Fantastic sign-posting ensuring GPs only seeing relevant patients
• Two-hour meeting on a Wednesday morning – protected practice time
• Heavily encourage specialist interests – minor surgery, mental health and dermatology would top their ‘shopping list’
• EMIS Web

Your role –

• Salaried GP
• 4 or more sessions per week
• Sustainable workload offering:
  • 10-minute phone calls
  • 15-minute F2F
  • 20-minute F2F
• Morning coffee break
• Collaborative, team-based approach to Duty with capped number of contacts
• Very low visiting
• Very minimal extended hours/enhanced access
