Job description

JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Reporting into the General Manager, your key objective will be to drive the full leasing process, including the management of leads and partners, processing bookings, and maintaining great relationships with our residents. You will also assist with daily operational tasks and ensure The Switch brand is brought to life through delivering an exceptional customer experience to our community and customers.

  • Full time role, Monday to Friday
  • Fluent in Mandarin is highly desirable but not mandatory

The Switch have redefined accommodation as it’s currently known, with a focus on bringing the outside world in to achieve heightened community experiences. The 28-storey Student Accommodation property located at 198 A’Beckett St is the first Switch asset to open in Melbourne, with properties in Perth and Adelaide opening earlier this year. Situated just five minutes’ walk from Queen Victoria Markets, the tower boasts an outdoor rooftop on level 28 offering panoramic views of Melbourne Northside. Other common areas include a staffed gym, theatre, event space, café, pop-up stores, communal kitchen, laundry, honesty kitchen and outdoor terraces. 

This is a Student Accommodation building that is home to approximately 650 students which opened in February 2023.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the sales process from lead to close and consistently meet or exceed targets.
  • Identify and create avenues and opportunities to expand our brand presence and leads.
  • Organise and manage the CRM, property viewings and full sales lifecycle.
  • Be the first point of contact for partners on a variety of chat group such as WhatsApp and respond in an appropriate timeframe.
  • Keep up to date with leasing system improvements and participate in the improvement of leasing systems as the business evolves.
  • Assist the GM in educating the wider team on leasing fundamentals,
  • Work collaboratively to understand customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential ways to succeed.
  • Work closely with The Switch team to provide exceptional brand led customer experience.
  • Nurture and build solid relationships with our educational and agent partners. 
  • Assist with general administration duties.
  • Liaise with our customers to ensure their Switch experience is exceptional. This may include organising, promoting, and conducting events and pop ups.

 SKILLS/EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly motivated and self-driven with a passion for sales coupled to a can-do attitude.
  • Have a process-oriented mindset with a keen eye for detail.
  • Must have confidence in using various platforms such as customer management systems. We will provide all the training required, but you will want to be comfortable using different systems and excited to plug away on your laptop to perform tasks.
  • Must have good communication skills, with the ability to communicate and interact positively with a wide range of internal and external people.
  • The ability to multitask, work unsupervised and proactively to meet targets and timelines.
  • Have a high level of enthusiasm and energy and be a self-starter with a positive mindset.
