The position is full time hours 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday as Casual with some weekends 9.00am to 1.00pm. Permanent position will be given after performance review. Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in the flooring or home improvement industry.
- Knowledge of different types of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, carpet, and tile.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to work with minimal supervision.
- Basic math skills for measuring rooms and calculating material estimates. Project management, follow tasks through to completion.
- Familiarity with BOS systems and computer literacy.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to lift and carry flooring samples and other merchandise as needed.
- Flexibility to work weekends and have a drivers licence.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide assistance to customers in selecting and purchasing flooring & window furnishing materials. Processing sales transactions, and providing excellent customer service.
- Answer questions regarding the store's products, services, and pricing.
- Provide product information, including features, benefits, and warranty information. Assist customers in selecting flooring materials or window furnishings based on their needs, preferences, and budget.
- Process sales transactions & quotations accurately using Business Operating Systems. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the showroom, including arranging displays and restocking inventory. Answering phone calls and replying to emails.
- Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets. Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues. Pursue all sales leads to completion.
- Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor offerings.
