You will be responsible for managing and growing the sales and penetration of BARLEYMAX® in Australia and New Zealand. This is an exciting opportunity to join the company as we embark on our next stage of growth. BARLEYMAX® has customer validation in many markets, and the Bakery category is a core pillar of our ongoing strategy as we look to bring the health benefits of BARLEYMAX® to more consumers in Australia, New Zealand and globally. You will be reporting directly to the CEO.
About YouYou will ideally have 7+ years of B2B sales and/or technical experience in the bakery industry. You are looking for an exciting opportunity to grow and take complete ownership of the B2B sales function. Opportunities exist to expand the team provided the right results are achieved. You are ambitious, independent and a self-starter who understands the complexity of big business but is nimble and flexible enough to operate in a small team environment with significant career development and growth potential.
Duties- Developing sales strategies: Plan and implement strategies to achieve sales KPIs and meet budgeted sales volumes and new customer targets
- Customer management and acquisition: Manage our current distributor and customer network as well as identify new potential customers and grow the network of customers and food brands that utilise BARLEYMAX®, particularly in the bakery and flatbreads categories
- Market analysis: Understand the market and keep management up to date of key developments and trends
- Collaborationand innovation: Work with marketing to formulate new innovative products that utilise BARLEYMAX®
- Reporting: Provide frequent reporting of the pipeline and sales development to the CEO
- Assist in the smooth functioning of our supply chain and operations
- Proven sales experience: Demonstrated success in a B2B sales roles in the bakery industry, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, and delivering compound volume growth
- Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to the unique needs of the bakery and flatbread segments
- Market knowledge: In-depth understanding of the bakery and flatbread market dynamics, including industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor strategies
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients, negotiate deals, and articulate sales strategies
- Analytical skills: Proficiency in analysing sales data and market trends to make informed decisions and drive business growth
