The Company
G.O. Shelving is the largest and most reputable provider of ‘Total Storage Solutions’ in South Australia and, one of the largest in Australia. Well established for over 38 years, G.O. Shelving have been responsible for the majority of the largest pallet racking and storage projects in South Australia.
The Role
As a valuable member of the Sales and Marketing team, you will:
- Support and grow a large customer base throughout South Australia
- Provide superior service to, and consult with customers to achieve their requirements
- Gather and collate information on building projects and develop opportunities to provide quotes to customers.
- Follow up on sales leads with customers
- Arrange site visits to determine and assist with customers requirements
- Represent the company fairly and honestly in a way that will result in ongoing development and enhancement of customer relations
- Collaborate with the other members of the Sales, Marketing and Operations Teams to ensure that customer expectations are met
To be successful in this role, you will need to be energetic, positive, a team player and disciplined in your approach to the sales process.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in an Industrial/Commercial/technical sales role
- Ability to build rapport and maintain long term customer relationships
- Product knowledge and technical aptitude (previous experience with pallet racking, shelving, conveyor, materials handling, warehousing or related industries) would be considered an advantage, but is not essential as training will be provided.
- Ability to interpret drawings/site plans
- Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- The ability to use AutoCAD an advantage, but not essential
- The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- High level of attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work autonomously but most importantly, as part of a team
- Current South Australian drivers licence essential
