CJD is looking for an After Sales Representative to join our very successful and growing Melbourne Team, to attract new customers and provide a second-to-none service to our existing customers.

Reporting to the State Service Manager, you will work closely with the rest of the team to develop strategies and achieve your targets. With customer satisfaction and building lasting relationships at the forefront, this is where your charismatic personality will come into play.

A day on the job will see you: 

  • Get out and about and spend quality time on customer sites to understand their needs and support them in selecting the most suitable aftermarket offering. 
  • Carry out inspections of wear items such as the undercarriage and G.E.T for the purpose of predicting remaining component life expectancy before replacement.
  • Actively seek out new customers, including cold calling, and use your knowledge of specific aftermarket offering to generate new business. 
  • Provide accurate and timely quotations to customers and carry out the necessary follow up.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Represent CJD at meetings and trade shows in an effort to promote our brands, services, and products.

What you need to get the job done:

  • Australian drivers’ licence and the ability to travel to our amazing customers.
  • A proven track record in a similar role within a hands-on operational environment.
  • Construction equipment parts or service experience - highly regarded. 
  • Relevant trade certificate - highly beneficial.
  • Solid understanding of machinery and their unique applications.
  • All the common things – decent computing and Microsoft Office skills, great communicator both written and verbal, motivated self-starter.
  • Sharp-as-a-tack negotiation skills.  You know how to strike a good deal for the customers, while achieving a win for the business.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop long-term relationships, resulting from your honesty and integrity.
