About the role
The main purpose of this position is the cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, machinery, and work areas in a food processing facility. Sanitation Cleaners are responsible for handling and preparing cleaning chemicals, preparing sanitisers, preparing chemical concentrations, handling and storing of chemicals, conducting cleaning checks and upholding both our WHS and Food Safety Systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the system to clean and sanitise equipment, tanks and pipelines.
- Disassemble, clean, sanitise and reassemble production equipment as needed.
- Carry out all sanitation practices according to company procedures and applicable health regulations and laws.
- Adhere to Lustra’s and our client's Food Safety and Food Hygiene requirements.
- Carry out safe manual handling methods.
- Ensure safe chemical handling practices.
- Reporting of Non-Conformances and Work Health Safety incidents
Requirements
We currently have one position available:
1 x Night shift - (Monday to Friday, 10pm - 4am) and minimal overtime on the spot if required.
- Previous cleaning experience within the food environment (preferred but *not essential*)
- Must be physically fit
- Willing to scrutinise own work and apply improvements
- Comfortable with handling raw poultry
- Have safe Chemical Handling training/ awareness or the willingness to learn.
- Be prepared to undergo medical screening.
- Successful candidates must agree to a Police Clearance Check prior to commencement of role.
