Sap Bi / Bw Consultant

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensures functional designs and data flows are compliant to the BW/BI strategy and guidelines
• Review and approve functional designs from all project and support streams (ensures completeness, accuracy, consistency of the BW/BI solution)
• Provides advice to all project streams to maximise BW/BI components already built or being developed (ie, re-use of existing solution).
• Responsible for the overall SAP BW/BI development

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in delivery SAP reporting and analytics solutions in large scale complex SAP environments.
• Expert understanding and application through design and delivery of the architectural layers and information management considerations for an enterprise wide implementation of business warehouse reporting and analytics solutions using SAP BI platform
• Demonstrated expertise in industry best practice for the design and configuration of SAP BW to provide a reporting and analytics platform in the projects and contracts business domain.
• Additional skills in Sales, WM, finance, procurement would be well regarded.
• Demonstrated expertise in the development of reporting and analytics solutions across the SAP BusinessObjects suite (Web Intelligence, Design Studio, Lumira, Analysis for Office)
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and documenting impact analyses, options analyses, and functional and technical specifications to support blueprint and realisation phases.
• Demonstrated experience in senior stakeholder engagement 
• Experience/knowledge of SAP BW on HANA/BW/4HANA.
• Experience in ABAP development for DataSource development, DataSource enhancement, transformations, and exit variables.
• Good internal knowledge of SAP ECC and its modules.
• Experience developing BW/BI roadmaps for large organisations.
• Experience setting standards and performing QA reviews.
• Experience integrating BObj with SAP BW and external systems.
• Strong knowledge of the BObj toolset and SAP Roadmap for integration of BW and BObj tools (including retiring of tools).
• Experience tuning and optimizing performance of BW/BObj systems.
• Experience in managing Enhancement Packs and Support Pack upgrades.
