Our available roles are all based in educational settings and require a valid Working with Children Check upon successful candidacy. Opportunities are available statewide, extending beyond just Melbourne.
Our dedicated team will support you throughout your journey with us and within the Department of Education and Training. A fundamental orientation to the program (eduSTAR.TSS) will be provided for newcomers.
Candidates are required to understand the following:
- Windows Server Technologies (Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP).
- Service and management of Windows and Apple devices.
- Network Administration (Cisco/HP Switching).
- Cloud collaboration resources (Google Apps / Microsoft 365).
The following qualities will be highly valued:
- Experience in an educational setting, along with knowledge of wireless deployments and projects.
- Experience with planning, deployment and management of multi-user/devices in an enterprise environment.
- The ability to plan and work collaboratively with management.
In this role at your allocated schools, you will be expected to:
- Represent the Department of Education.
- Represent the Technical Support to Schools Program.
- Coordinate Department Systems, Projects & Initiatives.
- Provide End User Support.
- Support and/or Manage Core Infrastructure.
- Maintain ICT Security and Privacy.
- Manage and Coordinate ICT Incidents.
- Create and Maintain Documentation.
- Provide ICT Planning and Advice where applicable.
