About the Science Teacher Position
The Science Teacher position is a great opportunity for an educator with a deep appreciation and understanding of science. Starting in Term 2, this full-time position is contracted until the end of 2024, with the potential for permanent employment in the following year. The role primarily involves teaching Junior Science, with the option to extend into teaching Senior Biology for those interested. The school is searching for a teacher who not only brings a strong knowledge base in the sciences but also has the ability to engage and inspire students. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about fostering a love for scientific inquiry and discovery among young learners, and adept at creating an interactive and stimulating learning environment.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong foundation in scientific concepts and theories to effectively teach Junior science
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex scientific ideas to students
- Capacity for continuous development and incorporation of new teaching methods and technologies
- Skilled in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and curiosity in science
- QCT registration or eligibility to obtain
