The successful candidate will prioritise work, adjust workflow and liaise with other staff members within the work area to ensure urgent analyses are performed and maintain high level expertise across all unit analytical work to ensure continuity of service.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of Chemical Pathology testing and its role in clinical medicine.
- Knowledge, skills and expertise in analytical methods and instruments relevant to chemical
- Knowledge, skills and expertise in the validation and clinical interpretation of results in chemical pathology.
- Knowledge of Pathology testing and its diagnostic, therapeutic and monitoring role in disease and health.
- Good communication and negotiation skills with staff at all levels in a large organisation.
- The successful applicant must hold a Bachelor of Science degree, or an equivalent qualification
- Professional association membership is desirable but not essential (e.g. AACB, AIMS)
