Overview
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced General Hand/Trimmer (training provided) Processing Assistant to join our Processing Team in South Fremantle. No formal education is required, so its an accessible career, provided you have relevant experience. Successful candidate must have good experience in processing and managing seafood, stock rotation and must be a good team player.
Your day to day routine will look something like this:
- Working with freshly caught fish of various kinds
- Skin fish
- Pin Bone fish
- Clear fish
- Safe food handling practices
- Stock control of product processed
- Maintain the tools and equipment you will be using including knives and other equipment.
- Cleaning and trimming the carcasses to prepare them for the rest of the processing operation
- Other duties as assigned by the manager
All about you
- Minimum 1 year of experience in similar role or training will be provided to the right candidate
- Display a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understand all aspects of OH&S compliance and manual handling.
- Ability to learn a broad range of products quickly.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
- Forklift licence (advantageous).
- Good attention to detail
