SalaryIn partnership with the Australian Defence Force, Ventia is seeking an experienced Seamsperson to join the team at the Enoggera barracks, this role will be supporting the Defence National Clothing Store Services within the BSR Contract.
Working Monday to Friday this role is a full time opportunity.
Key duties
- Measure and fit customers for clothing items
- Perform seamsperson duties of sewing of rank, insignia and badges following Defence specifications, basic sewing tasks of hemming, ironing and basic alterations and medal mounting
- Maintain customer order records
- Process workplace documentation for all stores transactions
- Inspect returned items for serviceability and re-issue
- Perform stocktakes and spot checks under direction
- MTM / MTF measurements under supervision
- Maintain stock records

- Experience in measuring and fitting clothing items
- Experience in altering clothing items
- Experience in clothing store operations
- Experience in direct customer support
- MILIS / PIMS / CSA experience an advantage
- Basic computer skills - word, excel and internet applications
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
