Avenel Equine Hospital
Avenel Equine Hospital is a full-service equine hospital located in the heart of Victoria’s Thoroughbred breeding region. The practice offers a comprehensive On Farm service to equine clients in the local area (Avenel, Nagambie, Seymour and Euroa) as well as intensive care and surgical services at our new purpose-built hospital.

The Role
There are a variety of nursing roles that are stimulating and fast paced but well supported by an experienced team of specialists, interns, nurses and horse handlers. These positions would suit both early-in-career nurses and also experienced nurses looking to take the next step in their equine nursing careers and to gain experience in a high case load hospital.
ICU and Critical Care Nursing positions are for immediate start, offering flexible casual shifts up to full time hours. This is a supported role with ongoing training from experienced nurses and veterinarians.
Skills and Experience
- Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing
- Experience in an on-farm hospital or equine hospital
- The ability to work confidently around young foals
- Prioritise and work effectively within a team
