Founded in 1996, Heritage House has is a family-owned and operated business which owns and operates nine services across Sydney and growing. We provide exceptional care and high-quality education for children aged six weeks to six years.

About the Role:

  • We are looking for an exceptional candidate who can take on the challenge of being Second in Charge
  • Assist in managing the day to day operations of the service in line with company policies, procedures and targets
  • Assist in maintaining and improving service A&R rating
  • Develop a positive and engaging community presence
  • Provide leadership, support and guidance to staff and students as needed
  • Develop a positive, cohesive work environment for all staff
  • Deliver an innovative and high-quality early childhood program for children that reflects current theory, practice and the values and philosophies of Heritage House Childcare and Early Learning Centres.
  • Monitor and document children’s development and progress through a diverse range of methods that reflect the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Ensure the service is compliant with all Centre policies, State Legislation and National Quality Standards
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are always maintained in line with Company standards

Required experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in the role (preferred)
  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Hold a Diploma in Children Services
  • A current Working with Children’s Check and valid First Aid, Child Protection.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) and Rating and Assessment process
  • Strong experience creating and maintaining a Centre Quality Improvement Program
  • Extensive experience within the Early Childhood sector
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication, leadership and management skills
  • Highly organised and ability to multi-task
