Role Overview:
This is a full-time, leave replacement position with an immediate start until the end of Term 4, 2024, with the potential to become permanent. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach an exemplary science program and inspire secondary age students in the field of physics.
Expectations:
- Recent experience in teaching HSC physics: Demonstrated ability to teach the Higher School Certificate (HSC) physics curriculum effectively.
- Passion for the subject: Enthusiasm for physics and the ability to inspire and engage secondary age students in their learning.
- Knowledge of senior secondary pedagogy: Understanding of recent developments in senior secondary pedagogy and how it applies to the teaching of physics.
- Interpersonal skills: Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the Science team to enhance the learning experience for students.
- Technology integration: Confidence in using technology to enhance learning in the classroom and a willingness to embrace innovative teaching methods.
- Alignment with School values: An understanding of and commitment to Christian mission, values, and ethos.
- Desirable qualifications: Previous experience teaching International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) is highly desirable.
