Secondary Spanish Lote Teacher

Job DescriptionAbout the Role:
Are you a passionate Spanish LOTE educator in search of a rewarding teaching opportunity? Tradewind is collaborating with a great school in Truganina, actively seeking a committed Spanish LOTE teacher to join their team starting from Term 3, on a full-time basis. This role will be working with students in year 7, with year 8-9 classes down the line. • Develop age-appropriate and engaging curriculum plans that align the Victorian Curriculum for Spanish LOTE Secondary levels.
• Deliver effective and interactive Spanish LOTE language instruction, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and language structures.
• Introduce aspects of Spanish culture into lessons through age-appropriate activities, stories, and projects to foster cultural awareness.

• Design assessments to evaluate their language acquisition and provide constructive feedback to students
• Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate Spanish language and culture into broader educational themes and projects.
• Stay informed about developments in language education, attend workshops, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.

Skills & Experience:

• Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Current VIT registration
• Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Spanish LOTE- welcoming of graduates
• Graduates welcome to apply and will be supported
• Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
