About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Secondary Teacher specialising in middle years Maths and Humanities to join our dedicated team on a fixed-term maternity leave cover for Term 3 and 4 2024. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and effective lessons to middle years students in both Maths and Humanities subjects, fostering a love for learning and academic achievement.
What you’ll do:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in middle years Maths and Humanities subjects according to the school curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and ensure all students are challenged and supported.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
- Assess and evaluate student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.
What You Bring:
- Current QCT registration.
- Proven experience teaching Maths and Humanities subjects at the secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland curriculum and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their academic potential.
