Job description

We are looking for a Security Awareness Engineer to be a core member of the GEHC Phishing Program. The Security Awareness Engineer will help plan and execute global and local phishing simulations and execute follow-up communications and trainings. In this role you will directly impact the overall security posture of GEHC by focusing on one of the most critical elements of our security portfolio—the people.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Help build the company-wide Phishing program, which includes creation, management, and reporting of dozens of exercises annually.

  • Coordinate with business, legal and HR stakeholders to gain necessary approvals.

  • Ensure compliance with the phishing training policies.

  • Build relationship with phishing platform vendor.

  • Help communicate exercise results to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Work closely with training and communication leaders to help build the phishing training & awareness program

  • Analyze phishing simulation results and provide recommendations for improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ experience in cybersecurity-related role(s), or a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of cybersecurity experience

  • Exceptional people, written and verbal communication, organizational, and process improvement skills are critical to success in this role

  • Knowledge of phishing simulation platforms

  • Data analytics, visualization, and/or dashboarding skills would be a huge plus.

Desired Characteristics

  • SANS Security Awareness Professional (SSAP) credential or any certifications in cybersecurity is an advantage.

  • Highly adaptable in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment; thrives when working independently.

  • Able to take the initiative, reach out to and coordinate with different people in different departments.

  • Knowledge of the cyber threat landscape including trends and technologies and market issues and dynamics is an advantage.
