About the team

About the role
The Information Security Portfolio Adviser is responsible for the management and tracking of cyber security components of projects in the Information Systems space. It ensures appropriate cyber security controls are in place, liaises with stakeholder on security policy and procedure for new projects, and tracks and monitors progress and success of cyber security projects. 

Role responsibilities: 
  • Plans the delivery of solutions with cyber security obligations and best-practices in mind, which may include informing and mentoring others on technical security solutions and security policies
  • Collaborates with internal and external legislative and risk experts, to monitor, advise on and respond to calls for operational and policy changes that will ensure Santos’ legal and regulatory compliance requirements, and to ensure industry best practice is adopted
  • Provides specialist consulting and security stewardship to business leaders, contractors, service providers and colleagues
  • Conducts risk analysis and assessments and advises on security issues related to projects and business activities 
  • Prepares security project management reporting, advising on security posture and trends, highlight security risks and incidents by collecting, analysing, and summarizing enterprise security data and trends

About you
You will be experienced in:
  • Managing cyber security risk in alignment with ISO standards and legislative compliance, ideally in partnership with external third parties including government on cyber security matters.  Familiarity with NIST and AESCSF Frameworks is also preferred
  • Information security architecture technologies and concepts: firewalls, intrusion detection, assessment tools, encryption, certificate authority, etc. 
  • Security, hardware configuration, protocols and standards as they relate to networking
  • Emerging technologies and their impact on security architectures: service orientated architecture, cloud, enterprise frameworks, message based information exchange, etc. 
  • Various infrastructure and applications in a large enterprise and have experience with developing, delivering, and improving ICT infrastructure services to deliver on key KPIs 
  • Information security project and/or portfolio management disciplines within an enterprise environment 
You will also ideally be degree qualified or hold equivalent tertiary and/or relevant work/industry experience in Computer Science, Project Management, Cyber Security, AWS and Azure technical certification to mid-range level.
