  • Experience working to Defence Industrial Security Program (DISP) requirements, working to Security principles, publications concepts, practices and standards as applied to both Defence and Industry Companies and Suppliers.
  • Extensive experience with the application of COMSEC requirements, COMSEC Accounting Recording and custodial procedures.
  • Experience in the application of Defence security clearance process and procedures.
  • Currency and knowledge of the Security Policy frameworks both PSPF and DSPF
  • Experience working within highly classified Defence security program environments and facilities
  • High level of exposure and experience in processing security clearances in accordance with the Australian Government Security & Vetting clearance process and additionally extended Defence clearance requirements around Positive Vetting and application of customer Special Access Program (SAP) requirements. Currency and knowledge of the application use and purpose of Security Classifications and Categorisation Guides
  • Demonstrated experience / exposure to a similar role as a Defence or Defence Industry Security Officer/Advisor.
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (preferred in the Security domain) and/or equivalent combined industry and defence experience associated with an engineering, technical or maintenance environment.
  • Completion and acceptance by the Defence Security Agency (DSA) for Security Officer training.

Special Requirements:Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance.Your responsibilities will include:As the Security Representative you will support both Company and Program level security requirements. This will require liaison with internal stakeholders, Program Managers, customers, and Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) Security Managers, and Information System Security Managers (ISSM) along with other Defence Industry security organisations.Reporting to the Chief Security Officer (CSO) the Security Representative will be assigned duties to lead and support Program security requirements.You will actively attend and contribute to customer meetings as required, and actively contribute to the successful completion of specific programs and projects.Provide leadership and support for all staff who may be assigned to support the Security requirements of the Company (Security Officers, Deputy Security Officers, Information Technology Security Managers (ITSM), and COMSEC Security Officers etc.) to ensure Security requirements are consistently applied and communicated.
