Key Duties include:
- Contract Performance:
- Analyse and plan for site needs, control costs, and serve as the primary contact for key clients, addressing issues and customer complaints.
- Manage contractual administrative duties, conduct performance reviews with Wilson management, and develop action plans.
- Team Leadership:
- Foster a positive work environment, mentor, and manage security staff, ensuring professionalism and accountability.
- Handle performance management, delegate tasks to team leaders, and maintain staff morale and discipline.
- Address ER/IR issues promptly and ensure staff training compliance.
- Workforce Planning:
- Manage staffing to meet contract obligations and participate in recruitment.
- Minimise overtime costs and develop succession plans for key positions.
- Work Health and Safety (WHS):
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety policies and legislation.
- Drive safety behaviours, conduct risk assessments, and address health and safety concerns promptly.
- Supervision and Training:
- Oversee security operations, conduct training, and maintain training records.
- Operational Support:
- Assess security risks, assist in developing SOPs, and improve security measures.
- Incident Management:
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
- Security Equipment and Technology:
- Manage security equipment and stay updated on new technologies, recommending upgrades when necessary.
- General Duties:
- Deliver best practice security services, manage emergencies, conduct investigations, and ensure compliance with Wilson policies.
Profile
Skills and requirements:
* Demonstrated evidence of facilitating clear communication and direction to staff at all levels
* Strong time management skills developed through involvement in multi-site, multi-tasking operations environment.
* Demonstrated competence in situation analysis and decision-making.
* Detailed understanding of rostering
* Broad knowledge of the application of Awards, EBA's/AWA's
* A thorough understanding of the basic principles of human resource management
* Strong levels of numerate and literate competency
* Detailed understanding of legislative requirements about WHS, IR, EEO
* Experienced in operating in an environment accommodating a variety of cultural and moral opinions.
* Experience in accident and incident investigations
* Experience in conflict resolution and dealing with difficult people.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc)
* Have a working experience with access control systems.
* Proven experience in security operations, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
* Sound knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.
* Proficiency in conducting training sessions and maintaining accurate records.
* Certification in First Aid, CPR, and relevant security training programs is preferred.
* Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Job Offer
About you:
- 3 years experience in Security/customer service role
- State-based Security License
- Diploma / Cert IV in Security Risk Management would be advantageous or be willing to obtain one.
- A diploma / Cert IV in WHS would be advantageous.
