South Pacific Seeds is seeking a graduate to learn and be involved in all aspects of our Seed Production business. Opportunities to spend time at our offices in Tasmania, Naracoorte, South Australia, and Methven, New Zealand starting February 2025.
CAREER OPPORTUNITY - 1 YEAR INTERNSHIP
- Work with our senior agronomists to produce high quality vegetable seeds
- Assist with pest, disease and moisture monitoring
- Scout crops for pest and disease issues and report findings
- Gain “hands on” experience in all aspects of Seed Production from seeding, harvesting and seed cleaning.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE ROLE?
- Have recently completed a bachelor’s degree, in Agriculture, Agricultural Science or related discipline OR currently completing final year
- Preference will be given to candidates with a rural background with connections to Tasmania, SE South Australia/Western Victoria or Riverina area
- Be enthusiastic, positive and willing to roll your sleeves up to get the job done
- Have strong problem-solving skills
- Have current driver’s license
- Keen interest in a career in Seed Production/agronomy.
