-You can view and print these PDF attachments by downloading .This is a permanent, full time vacancy.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Senior Aboriginal Liaison Officer provides support, guidance, and information to Aboriginal families that come into contact with the Coroner’s Court through the provision of services and accurate information that contributes to an efficient, effective and more culturally responsive service. The incumbent will inform the Aboriginal community about the operations of the Coroner’s Court and explain their rights, obligations, court procedures and protocols in language that is easily understood and in a way that provides comfort.Overnight travel to regional areas may be required (including via small aircraft), travelling with Judiciary and Coroner’s Court staff to towns and remote Aboriginal communities to provide cultural support and assistance as required.As part of the Coroner’s Court team, the successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Work to improve communication and model integrity and respect in all interactions.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve common goals, best practice, and facilitate business improvements as appropriate.
  • Facilitate cultural and management reforms within the Department through leadership and engagement.
