About the role
We have a permanent opportunity in our Government Relations team in Leederville. Please note, this role will be offered as a job share arrangement (part time - 3 days per week). We are looking for an organised and self driven candidate to join our highly regarded team of communication professionals. Reporting to the Team Lead - Ministerial Communications, you'll be responsible for researching and preparing accurate, clear and compelling draft correspondence and briefing notes for the Minister for Water.
What the role will involve
- Utilise your highly developed writing skills to draft correspondence in response to customer issues that have been addressed to the Minister for Water and CEO
- Work with various internal stakeholders at a senior level across the business to analyse and research subjects to assist in the development of correspondence
- Be flexible within a fast paced and changing environment, working to tight time deadlines and adapting to changing priorities
- Have high levels of confidence and have experience in turning complex, technologically driven information into friendly written responses
- Work as part of a small cooperative team that is passionate about customer service and driving organisational values
Key skills and experience
- Degree level qualification in Journalism, Public Relations or another Communications related discipline would be highly regarded, although not essential
- Demonstrated experience in drafting friendly and accurate correspondence in response to complex and contentious customer complaints
- High level of ability to turn complex information into a clear and compelling written correspondence and briefing notes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and negotiate successful outcomes with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in a similar role within a large organisation will be highly regarded
