About the team – Governance and Risk (G&R) contributes to the long-term success of the ASC by providing effective guidance, coordination, and oversight over the key ‘systems, processes, and structures’ (elements of governance) that the ASC has established, which direct the entity towards achieving its strategic and operational objectives.
G&Rs core focus is on providing confidence to our stakeholders (internal and external) that the elements of governance are managed effectively; through the:
- Promotion of a strong ‘risk aware’ culture
- Advancement of ‘reasoned/sound decision-making’ (across the entity), and
- Delivery of key ‘value-add’ activities and actions.
About the role – the Senior Advisor - Risk, Fraud and Resilience is responsible for:
- Managing the Risk, Fraud and Resilience portfolios to ensure the ASC’s risk management, fraud, business continuity and crisis management responses are met efficiently and effectively, and in line with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) and other statutory legislation.
- Developing and driving enterprise focused risk management and fraud control advice which aligns with better practice approaches and meets business outcomes.
- Leading and managing the ASC’s business continuity management framework, ensuring strategies enable sustainable contingencies and the continued achievement of organisational outcomes.
- Providing advice and support to ensure the ASC meets relevant compliance obligations.
- Anticipating and assessing the impact of changes in Government policy and contribute appropriate responses.
- Working in strong cooperation with other Groups for integrated user-centred solutions.

- To be eligible for this position applicants are required to be Australian citizens only and must be able to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance.
