The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Analyst to join the integrated business planning team as part of our Finance division in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth office on a Permanent Full Time basis.
Reporting to the Strategic Business Planning Manager, you will be a key contributor to business planning processes, long-term planning and modelling processes, budget and forecasting, supporting the business to deliver financial performance outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the monitoring of performance against business plans in line with both short-term and long-term strategies, by analysing data and providing insight into performance drivers
- Collect, organise and analyse financial data, metrics and other relevant information to identify trends, patterns and areas of improvement for assigned business units
- Prepare and execute timetables and logistics around planning processes
- Prepare regular complex financial and statistical reports in collaboration with the finance reporting team
- Contribute extensively to the annual planning, budgeting and forecasting, long-term planning and modelling processes
- Provide financial modelling, peer benchmarking and competitor analysis and recommendations for stakeholders
- Provide mentoring and coaching support to junior team members
- Experience in Finance business planning or related roles, demonstrated Financial literacy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, extensive experience using data analytical tools
- Demonstrated financial modelling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport and actively contribute in the team, develop effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels

The Finance Division is responsible for all corporate financial activities that are related to the functioning, governance or consolidation of the group as a whole. The division is responsible for the provision of effective financial accounting and support functions to the internal business, and value add, revenue generating services to external entities.
To help APA power ahead, the team is accountable for providing financial performance reporting services across APA, including performance reporting and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, system enhancement proposals, process improvements, and providing quality advice to the business.
