Key Responsibilities:
- Scale and Optimise Performance: Enhance our Django application to efficiently handle increased load and complex data processing. Seamlessly integrate with Azure services for superior analytics and data management.
- Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for application security, data protection, and compliance. Conduct regular audits and address vulnerabilities in collaboration with security teams.
- Containerisation with Docker: Containerise the application using Docker, ensuring consistent environments across development, testing, and production. Utilise Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or similar technologies for orchestration.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment processes using Azure DevOps or similar tools, ensuring rapid, reliable releases.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring tools and practices to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring high application reliability and user satisfaction.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that align with business goals. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
- Comprehensive Documentation: Maintain documentation for system architectures, deployment processes, and security measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

- Leading efforts to productionise the application with improved security, scalability, and refinement of core functionality.
- Refactoring the application into a Microsoft Power application and supporting its transition to production.
- Extensive Experience: Proven track record with Django, Docker, and Azure.
- Tech-Savvy: Skilled in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
- Security-Focused: Strong understanding of application security, data protection, and compliance.
- Collaborative Leader: Ability to work with cross-functional teams and provide mentorship.
- Documentation Pro: Adept at maintaining comprehensive documentation.
The Senior Django and Power Apps Developer will report directly to the Program Director and take direction from the Common Data Model Initiative Technical Lead.
