My client is a leading Commercial Real Estate financier and investor with a national presence and a growing office in Brisbane CBD. They manage several billion dollars for institutional and high-net-worth investors and have an exciting and ambitious growth strategy ahead.
Due to continued business growth, a newly created position has opened up for a talented Senior Associate. This position is responsible for executing various transactions across senior debt and stretched senior and mezzanine finance.
You will be tasked with managing the relationships with external stakeholders, including developers, consultants, builders, agents, advisors, lawyers, valuers, financiers and investors.

Upon successful hire, you will be responsible for:
- Completing detailed and complex risk analysis of Real Estate investment and development projects.
- Conducting cash flow/feasibility modelling and analysis from the ground up to assess the viability of projects against the firm’s return risk and return parameters.
- Preparation and negotiation of joint venture term sheets, heads of agreement and funding proposals for potential clients.
- Preparation of project brief and scope for the engagement and instruction of project consultants, advisors, agents and lawyers.
- Conducting due diligence and the preparation of investment committee approval papers.
- Preparation of information memorandum and pitchbooks for presentation to financiers and investors.
- Coordinate with internal and external accounting and tax teams on accounting and tax implications for transactions.
- Review and negotiate legal documentation for transactions, including bank finance and security documents, joint venture agreements, subordination deeds, tri-partite agreements, leases, contracts of sale, development management agreements, consultant agreements, sale agency agreements, sale and purchase
agreements, and subscription and investor deeds. - Responsible for asset management and reporting, including attendance at project control group meetings, review of project control group reports, and internal fund reporting.
- Responsible for the debt facilities, including procurement, documentation, satisfaction of the conditions precedent, draw-down evaluation, and ongoing management.
- A tertiary qualification in finance, business, law, Real Estate, commerce, or any other relevant discipline.
- 3-6 years experience in property finance, gained in banking, investment management or advisory.
- Experience in credit analysis debt structuring.
- Sound written and quantitative skills.
- Have high-level interpersonal and persuasion skills, including the ability to work well within a team and contribute to an effective and productive team culture.
- Ongoing awareness and knowledge of critical Real Estate market transactions, investment environment and fundamental industry regulatory changes.
- Display a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and a capacity to work self-sufficiently under pressure while exercising sound judgment.
