Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced E-Commerce Data Specialist with a strong background in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising our product listings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry standards. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, proficiency in data management, and a thorough understanding of automotive products.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Data Management: Accurately input and update product information, including descriptions, specifications, pricing, vehicle fitment and images across various e-commerce platforms.
Senior Team Member: Reporting to the GM of Product and working within the Product team, take ownership of the team’s goals, ensuring they are met efficiently and to company standards, providing guidance and training if/when required.
Inventory Control: Maintain up-to-date records of inventory levels, monitor stock availability, and coordinate with the purchasing team to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy, consistency and troubleshoot any discrepancies or issues.
SEO Optimisation: Implement SEO best practices in product listings to enhance visibility and searchability, including keyword research and optimisation.
Content Creation: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling product descriptions, ensuring alignment with brand voice and style guidelines.
Market Analysis: Monitor competitor listings and market trends to identify opportunities for product enhancements and pricing adjustments.
Customer Support: Assist the customer service team by providing accurate product information and resolving any product-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of automotive e-commerce experience.
Technical Skills: Proficient in using e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, Adobe Commerce, eBay, etc.) High proficiency using Microsoft Excel and data management tools. Experience working with vehicle data tables and/or MySQL will advantageous to the applicant.
Automotive Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive parts and accessories, including familiarity with industry terminology and specifications.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and product management and the ability to innovate and think outside of the norm.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues independently.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
