About the Role
Downer's Strategy & Growth Team, within the Utilities Business, has a vacancy for a Senior Bid Manager, with a focus on the Water industry, to join their team. Reporting to the Pre-Contracts Manager, this role will develop winning proposals from the Planning Phase of an opportunity, through the Preparation and Negotiation phases to handover.
This role requires a Water industry experienced person that has excellent communication and negotiation skills both with Internal and external stakeholders. The candidate must be able to confidently capture a solution and provide a compelling offer to our customers and simultaneously undertake the required governance to pass all internal gates.
Our Requirements for This Role Are
- Formal qualifications in either Engineering or Business-related fields essential.
- 10yrs plus experience in a similar role, background in the Water Utilities sector would be a preference.
- Experience leading complex Design & Construction and Construct Only bids with substantial experience in engineering principles and construction methodologies.
- Project Management / Commercial Management experience desirable
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills
- Be required to Travel nationally to attend site visits and attend meetings with clients as required.
