The opportunity
The Local Land Services (LLS) is supporting the livestock industry to make the transformative leap in Sheep & Goat eID Implementation in New South Wales.
We are seeking 9 highly motivated and skilled people to join us in our mission to support Sheep & Goat eID Implementation in New South Wales.
Senior Biosecurity Officers play a crucial role, delivering essential messages, providing comprehensive training, and extending support to producers, saleyards, and LLS staff. Guided by the Project Officer - Coordinator LLS Sheep & Goat eID Implementation and working closely with regional AB&W Team Leaders, their efforts focus on establishing enduring traceability and compliance policies, shaping the future of biosecurity beyond the project's initial implementation.
  • Manage local biosecurity programs, ensuring compliance and effective risk mitigation.
  • Implement strategic plans to enhance customer understanding of biosecurity.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on project achievement.
  • Develop customer capacity through targeted biosecurity training.
  • Manage dynamic environments by translating plans into field programs.
  • Address emerging biosecurity issues amid evolving industry and community expectations.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, enforcing diverse legislative requirements and policies.

Essentials for this role:
  • Current NSW Class C Driver License and willingness to travel.
