The Role
This is a 12 month fixed term contract
As a Senior Business Analyst in MDA National's connect program, you will be responsible for facilitating the alignment of business needs and technology solutions within the Connect Program. Specifically, this will include standard analysis of business processes, data mapping activities for migration, data modelling, and reporting and dashboard design.

Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis or process improvement, with a multi- discipline delivery approach (e.g. agile, waterfall) in a medium to large (multi-state office) organisation;
- Proven third party vendor engagement and management skills
- Experience in appropriate work tools e.g. process mapping, JIRA, Confluence & UX tools is desirable;
- Proactive mindset, positive attitude and strong work ethic;
- Previous experience in the creation of static reports and dashboards in PowerBI
- Working knowledge of SQL and the creation of data models
- Prior experience in performing data migration and cleansing activites
- Superior stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation skills;
- Proven ability to work cooperatively with other members of a team and organisation, across organisational boundaries towards a common end goal.
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities
- Work with business stakeholders to reconcile current and future state business reporting requirements;
- Facilitate appropriate forums such as workshops and demonstrations;
- Capture clear and traceable business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that represents the business needs;
- Business Process Modeling: Create detailed process flowcharts and business process models to illustrate as-is and to-be scenarios, aiding in the development of streamlined and efficient processes;
- Data Analysis: Analyse and validate data requirements, mapping, and migration strategies to ensure
- seamless data transition to the new platform(s);
- Utilise data insights to support processes & business requirements;
- Creating & management of project backlogs;
- Perform supporting activities including development of wireframes, test case preparation, test execution, defect management as required;
- Provide advice on best practices to build business capability and influence decision making;
- Balance the needs of the business, good user experience (UX) and technical feasibility (e.g. low technical debt) to achieve an outcome that delivers a great solution.
