The Opportunity
eSolutions leads and directs the provision of IT solutions to the University; leading substantial technological, service and organisational reform towards creating a single IT function. We enable the Monash academic mission and delivery of the strategic agenda and deliver flexible, responsive, coherent ICT services.
We need an innovative and enthusiastic Senior Business Analyst.
This role will work closely with senior stakeholders and other analysts to:
- Plan and drive scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for large/complex initiatives
- Provide a range of business analysis services, including investigating client needs/requirements, facilitating stakeholder groups, and identifying, evaluating and recommending options
- Support the business through the implementation and change process
- Provide expert advice and guidance on the adoption of best practices
- Contribute to strengthening the business analysis capability and embedding best practice within the CIO Portfolio
You will help to lead the adoption of best practices which maximise the value Monash University gains through its projects and initiatives. You will help strengthen the business analysis capability, endorsing best practices within the Chief Information Officer Portfolio and beyond. Your expertise will influence stakeholders at multiple levels, endorsing optimal approaches and work practices and encouraging adoption of recommended models, methods and tools.
You will bring your:
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant IT or business discipline and extensive, relevant experience
- Substantial experience in business analysis and its application to the delivery of IT services to meet business needs
- Excellent relationship management and consulting skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders
- Experience working in an agile environment and the ability to coach and support staff through process change
