Offering a collaborative and dynamic team environment you will play a crucial role in steering product strategy and merchandising operations to significantly contribute to business expansion. The Senior Buying Manager will provide strategic leadership, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, manage Buying professionals, and stay well-informed on market trends and consumer insights.
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies aligned with trends, demands and company objectives.
- Drive end-to-end product strategy ensuring product pricing, inventory levels are sufficient to maximise sales and profitability.
- Lead and inspire a team of Buyers fostering a positive culture and high-performing and collaborative team.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis and market research on sales performance and customer feedback to optimise assortments and identify new opportunities to make informed decisions around merchandising strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally for the seamless execution of merchandising initiatives.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels to sustain vendor relationships.
- Negotiate with vendors to ensure timely and reliable delivery of products through cost-effective sourcing and procurement practices.
- Improve standards by implementing compelling and consistent brand experiences across all channels to enhance customer engagement.
To be successful, you will demonstrate/possess the following:
- Advanced understanding of retail merchandising, product lifecycle, and category management
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
- Experience in Hardgoods or General Merchandise is advantageous however a strong fashion background will be considered.
- Strategic thinker and ability to develop merchandising strategies aligned with business goals
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in market research and data analysis
- Results-driven and determined to achieve business objectives
- Proficiency across various merchandising software systems and Microsoft Office
