About the Role
Four Corners, the ABC's long running and award winning investigative current affairs program is seeking an experienced cinematographer to shoot top shelf documentaries.
Under the broad direction of the Executive Producer, you will:
- Take the leading role in conceptualising, designing and shooting documentaries and long form programs to the highest standards
- Have demonstrated experience in turning complex journalistic narrative into beautiful pictures and sequences
- Light and curate multicamera coverage of interviews and stylised sequences and scenes with originality and flair.
- Have extensive experience with shooting actuality style character lead narratives
- Work under tight deadlines and high pressure often as a single person operator
- Proven ability to be flexible and innovative when conditions and circumstances change on the location.
- To be across the latest trends and developments in cinematography and incorporate them where appropriate
- The ability to work well in a team and be a problem solver and self starter
- Contribute digital stills photography and video for social media platforms
- Plan and carry out complicated logistics for both domestic and overseas assignments
- Train and mentor other staff members
About You
You are an exceptional cinematographer with extensive experience in long form programs and documentary. Take a leading role in setting and designing the visual look of programs. Have the proven experience to work under pressure and still produce wonderful pictures.
