Project Overview
Reporting to the Principal Civil Engineer, we are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with mining services experience on major iron ore and NPI projects.
Our client is at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions for some of WA’s major miners. With a robust portfolio and a history of successful project completions, they are now on the cusp of securing several major iron ore projects that promise to further solidify their future.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our client’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be committed to a long-term role, contributing to and leading various aspects of upcoming and ongoing projects. Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will require the candidate to be able to effectively complete designs and provide technical support on civil scopes for mine site services.
Bulk Earthworks:
- Design of earthworks for site preparation and maintenance, including excavation, grading, and soil stabilization.
- Calculate and plan the movement and removal of large volumes of earth to optimize site layout and operational efficiency.
Stormwater and Drainage Systems:
- Design and implement effective stormwater management systems
- Develop drainage solutions that mitigate environmental impact and comply with regulatory requirements.
Roads:
- Develop and execute detailed designs and calculations for HV and LV roads ensuring stability, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
What Experience Do You Need?
- Civil engineering degree
- 8 years+ Civil Design Engineering experience in the mining industry
- Experience using relevant civil software such as – HY-8, DRAINS, XPSWMM, TuFlow and AutoCAD.
- Experience working in a sustaining capital environment
- Experience working in the iron ore sector desirable
- Excellent interpersonal skills
What are we offering?
- Negotiable rate – Estimate $100 - $115ph inc. super
- 40 hours per week
- WFH Flexibility
- PAYG or PTY arrangement
