Job summary

Our established and growing Melbourne Civil team is looking for Civil Engineers! Stantec have a strong pipeline of work in the Health, Defence, Land Development (subdivision) and Commercial sectors and are looking for passionate members to join our team.

About the role

Stantec are currently involved in some of Victoria's largest and exciting projects within a variety of industries and sectors including health, defence, commercial, land development, civil infrastructure and transport. We are looking for enthusiastic civil engineers to join our established and growing team. Our team work on civil engineering only projects as well as a variety of multi-disciplinary projects.

This role includes project design and delivery across a range of projects and sectors. Projects range from early concept design and master planning through to detailed design and construction documentation.

Successful applicants will have good technical design background, strong consulting engineering and project delivery skills over a range of areas including earthworks, roadworks, stormwater, sewer and water network design, including clear knowledge of standards and processes.

Day to day tasks would involve:

• \tDelivery personnel for quality engineering and technical activities to achieve successful projects

• \tParticipate in meetings with clients and other consultants.

• \tIdeally have experience dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including the private sector, local authorities and State government bodies

• \tSelf-management skills will be as important as your technical design and project management abilities

• \tPrioritise workloads ensuring our Clients' needs are met whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships with your colleague's both within the group and across the wider Stantec team.

• \tBuild and develop your professional profile both internally and externally by consistently demonstrating an ability to successfully deliver projects.

• \tMaintain an appropriate level of service to Clients and internal Project Managers.

• \tAssist with project management and business development.

• \tSupport Project Leaders Managers in completing projects in terms of program, profitability, technical risk management and overall Client satisfaction.

• \tBe accurate, diligent and professional.

To be successful for this role you'll need:

• \tPositive, can-do attitude

• \tBachelor Degree in Civil Engineering

• \tGood communication and interpersonal skills

• \tAbility to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines

• \tAttention to detail

• \tExperience in the civil related design and delivery of land development and building projects

• \tExperience in CAD based design platforms is preferred

• \tAbility to use initiative and think outside the box

• \tAbility to run project design teams
